Historically south of Poland with its capital – Krakow is called Little Poland. This is the most fertile and urbanised part of the country. Little Poland is located on the edge of three geographical countries: Krakow – Częstochowa Highland, Lowland of Eastern Poland and the Carpathian Mountains. It also evokes geological structure, around Krakow there are numerous mines, some of them opened in the Middle Ages, among others Wieliczka Salt Main, Olkusz Lead and Silver Mine, carbon mines in Silesia. Relatively reach area inclined noble families to settle here, nowadays Krakow and Little Poland are full of castles, palaces, sanctuaries.
We invite you to spend a week in our beautiful Krakow as well as in the countryside. Among places that we particularly advice are:
